AST4142 steel round bar is a kind of steel bar which under the standard ASTM A29/A29M-04. ASTM4142 has high strength and hardenability and good toughness. When quenching, the deformation is small, when high temperature,creep strength and rupture strength is high. ASTM4142 is used in the manufacture of forge piece requiring higher strength and larger conditioning section than 35CrMo steel. Such as locomotive traction with the big gear, supercharger drive gear, rear axle, the load of connecting rod and a spring clip, can also be used to under 2000 m deep well of oil drill pipe joint and the fishing tool and so on.
