45Mn is more successful new steel grade instead of 40Cr steel.45Mn has higher strength, hardness, wear resistance and good toughness. 45Mn’s hardenability is higher than 45Cr and hardening diameter is 18 ~ 33 mm in oil critical. 45Mn is usually used under the condition hardening and tempering and the temperature range for 45Mn is 20～425℃.
The same material for 45Mn are 1035, S45C,080A52,XC35 and 50Γ.
