ASTM A516 GRADE 65 is killed steel, when thickness is 40mm or less, the steel plate will deliver in as rolled condition. If customer ask for normalizing, stress relief, or both normalizing and stress relief, it is acceptable. When the thickness of steel plate large than 40mm, normalizing is necessary.
