ASTM 5140 hot rolled round bars and forged round bars

ASTM 5140 Steel round bars are belong to modulation of carbon round bars and cold heading round bars which under the standard of ASTM. ASTM 5140 Steel round bars are widely used for making the fastening piece, machine elements and so on.

The 5140round bars are easy to process, after heat treatment prepare ,it can obtain a certain toughness, plasticity and abrasion resistance. under the tempering at the temperature 550 ~ 570 ℃, the round bars has the best comprehensive mechanical properties. The harden ability is higher than that of S45C round bars, which suitable for high frequency quenching, flame hardening of the surface hardening treatment, etc.

The 5140 round bars are mainly used to made gear, shaft, worm, spline shaft,and crank shaft and so on .
EAF ARC FURNACE + LF REFINING+ VD + forged (DOUBLE) + FIXED LENGTH + SEP1921C/c TESTING
The delivery condition 5140 round bar are:hot rolled or forged + Normalizing+Tempering+Quenching and tempering+Normalizing and tempering+Annealing .

ASTM 5140 steel round bar size: Ф 5-80 for hot rolled round bar and Ф 80-1200 for forged round bar ,the length range is from 3000 to 12000mm.
The tolerance of the diameter is -0/+3mm ,The tolerance of the length is -0/+20mm.and the straightness tolerance is ≤3mm/m
surface delivery status: black/polishing/turning
The UT standard what we can do for Chinese standard are GB/T 6402 I,II,III and export standard are SEP1921 CLASS C/C，D/D，E/E.
