has good harden-ability, the critical hardening can reach to Ф 14 ~ 49 mm in oil, and the critical quenching in water can reach to Ф 28 ~ 77 mm ,after quenching and tempering in oil can obtain high strength and hardness, but tend to have cracks after quenching in water ; when tempering the second tempering in the range of 500 ~ 650 ℃have brittleness tendency;Hot working has white dots sensitivity.after normalizing or quenched and tempered ,its machinability is good, after annealing ,its machinability is good;during cold deformation, it has Low plasticity steel and bad weldability ,and it also has the tendency to cracks, so before welding ,it needs to preheat to 200 ℃ , and it also needs to eliminate the stress after welding processing.

This kind of round bars are used to make the load and friction parts, such as hot rolled with under 600 mm diameter roller, reducer shaft, gear, shaft, thrust ring, backup roll mandrel, tractor clutch gear, the connecting rod of diesel engine, bolts, tappet.

The delivery condition 50Cr round bar are:hot rolled or forged + Normalizing+Tempering+Quenching and tempering+Normalizing and tempering+Annealing .
The size for 50Cr round bar which available for our KUNFENG steel are Ф 5-80 for hot rolled round bar and Ф 80-1200 for forged round bar ,the length range is from 3000 to 12000mm.
The tolerance of the diameter is -0/+3mm ,The tolerance of the length is -0/+20mm.and the straightness tolerance is ≤3mm/m
